It's a New Year

I meant to post on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day but a bout with a virus got in the way. So here I am as January 2017 is now fully upon us, reflecting on the past year. For many, 2016 was an up and down year and I can say the same.  However, I've got a lot of gratitude for the "Ups"—including a 2016 World Fantasy Award nomination in the special professional category for my work on the Gods, Memes and Monsters  anthology. I was deeply honoured by the nomination and delighted to have attended the World Fantasy convention in Columbus OH. I owe a huge debt to the wonderful people at Stone Skin and all of the 60 GMM contributors, as the nomination could not have happened without any of them. Gratitude is a wonderful thing—something I'm planning on keeping in mind throughout this coming year.
